Family Road Trip through Arizona; 10 days, 2 cars, 4 adults, 5 kids, and many miles traveled. The only incident… tell-tale feathers by a kamikaze bird left on the road somewhere between Yuma and Tucsan.
Our travels took us to Tucsan, Tombstone, Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix, stopping at a collection of interesting towns and National Parks along the way.
One memorable day we made a trip to the Grand Canyon; it was an awe-inspiring adventure that left us exhausted. We later drove our weary bodies to Flagstaff for some much needed R & R. Cold and cranky, we found a reprieve at The Beaver Street Brewery and Whistle Stop Cafe. Over our 10 days we had visited many an eatery, but this is the one I remember fondly. I recall warmth, smiling faces, comfort food and a nice selection of micro brews. It was a welcoming end to an indelible family excursion.
