Rhythm Is Gonna Get You

With the atmosphere suitable for Mambo Kings, Bongos in Orlando serves up a celebration of authentic Cuban fare. My feet merengue to the fiery latin music while sipping one of Bongos’ trademark Mojitos. For dinner I never bore of the ham croquettes with an entree of Cuban skirt steak and fried plantains. For dessert, cafe con leche — the perfect sidekick to the traditional Cuban flan.

Did I mention that the (Gloria) Estafans own this flavorful watering hole?

Bongos’ Cuban Mojitos

  • 2 ounces Bacardi Light Rum
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup (sugar and water)
  • 1/2 fresh lemon , cut into large pieces
  • Mint leaves
  • Splash of soda
