When I ask if you’d like my advice, it’s just a formality.

I have been blessed with awesome family. Seriously. How fortunate to be able to call them friends. My niece and nephew amuse me with their mild teen angst and at times I amuse them (for better or worse) with unsolicited advice.

This week we enjoyed a plentiful dinner at Blue Point Restaurant. My pre-dinner cocktail was a light and refreshing Carolina Cooler.  A tasty mixture of St. Germaine, Sauvignon Blanc, lemon, lime, and ginger ale. The outstanding view and good company were complimented by this refreshing beverage.

With dinner we enjoyed a few bottles of Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay, an excellent choice.  Later, at our home we sipped  San Sebastian Port to wind down the evening.

A summer night to savor.
